Thanks Guys!! I just got back to Pittsburgh. I'll be nursing my hangover for the next couple days.
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Trip was fun. The party was like a class reunion. There were people that I hadn't seen in over 10 years there!
