I'm on a David Gilmour kick lately listening to his solo LPs. Wishing I could afford and/or justify the $500+ for Live at Gdansk.

I haven't looked into streaming services, when I sit down to listen I prefer LPs. Someday I need to look into streaming for instances like this when the LP version is rare and expensive.

My three favorite Elton John albums have always been Honky Chateau, Mad Man Across the Water and 11-17-70,  Yellow Brick road is great; however for me it marks a transition to his later style(s).

For me, it's the string of albums he did with Paul Buckmaster string arrangements, starting with the self titled, and going through Tumbleweed Connection, Friends and especially Madman Across the Water.   I think it's hard to overstate Paul's contribution to the sound of those works.

ABB Fillmore East surround disc from STaL. If something is going to blowup, it’s going to happen today.

Didn't see any reports of an explosion locally, so presume everything held up!

Currently listening to birthday boy Bukka White do the Aberdeen Mississippi Blues from Blues at Newport double CD.

Everything survived my high volume torture, although I unknowingly knocked the power cord out of the 70" tv and thought it was toast.

But how did you like the surround mix?   That is one I haven't sat down with yet.

I'm still warming up to the surround listening. No major complaints on that disc. However, I think one of the Doors discs was a horrible mix IMO. Seemed like they turned an amateur loose on the mixer.
