As an aside,  those receipts from Tone Poet and other higher priced purchases might be helpful in the future.....

;D   I don't plan on selling this one.

That's one I bought at Heads Together way back.  Blue Note reissue series in the mid 70s.

Are the receipts in reference to the new $600 tax on selling? If I recall you're the tax man round these parts. I recently bought an amp that's not going to work out and I plan to sell it. Seems unfair (ha, 'unfair' with regards to taxes!) A friend said I can avoid the tax if I have a receipt. I imagine it will become more apparent next season, but I'm fairly clueless as to how the whole thing works.

Yes, Scorp.  That was the reference.    I am presuming that people will be getting 'aggressively creative' with deductions used to offset any 'business-related' income that they will have to declare from the 1099s they get from Paypal, Ebay and the other players in the event their yearly sales exceed $600.  I definitely will be saving any receipts from Record Store Day, in the event I sell a purchase I don't fall in love with and sell later.

As far as what's 'fair' in dis here life,  that's a debate for another time!!!!

"People" will very likely do that.   I will maintain my integrity.   It's a non-taxable commodity.

I'm sorting through about a dozen years of purchases that I've never dealt with.   I had four copies of BOTR and literally each one had one strongest part.   One had nm double Wally vinyl, one had a really clean jacket in shrink with the hype sticker, one had a nice poster and one had a nice inner.   Between them all I put together one killer copy.   Yes, all on Apple, I'm not mixing different issues.

Jon Batiste - We Are

I can see why it won album of the year.   It has a flow like old school albums in a day where singles so much seem to be the focus.
