I saw Tom spend at least five minutes talking car audio when someone brought by a Marantz under dash amp.   Every rule has an exception.

That was for a 1960's Buick Skylark.  That exception makes sense.  You should see that beast.

I just look at the most recent posts anyway, I don't ever look at where it's posted.
I like me some HT. I just got a new TV stand and couch, redid my entire wiring for the living room, and finally have my speakers square against a wall rather than diagonal across a corner. It makes a world of difference, for sure. All in the last week and a half. Phew!

I have 2 cents i could put in on my previous setups and would certainly like to hear others opinions on setups they have used in the past.  I think its a great idea.

Well Atmos could theoretically be the end-all for surround sound formats, at least for a long time. It is scalable up to 64 speakers and regardless of where you place them you should be able to get directionally appropriate sound.

I guess it really depends on the implementation once it actually comes to home theaters but it has the potential to be very awesome.
