I got this for Xmas, and it is spectacular.   I knew the Nirvana cover already, but even with all of the hype the rest of the album is a most pleasant surprise.   Strings and Dap Kings on a country album that rocks.   That is great, but the song cycle is even better.   This is a hillbilly "Songs in the Key of Life".   Just wonderful start to finish.

Not a Xmas gift, but this was the first time I had a chance to listen to it.   And, yes, it is the 200 gram approved remaster which is said it be the favored pressing.   I still can't believe I found it new for $21.   They are all gone now.

I'm a huge Sturgill fan. All three of his releases are amazing. The first two are slightly more "country" which may turn some off. All three were well recorded. I was lucky S dough to catch him live in Munhall a couple months ago. Incredible musicians. The guitarist is from Estonia, to hear an incredibly spooky guitar tone check this out.

Listening to a bunch of Cat Stevens I recorded onto reel to reel tapes in the 70's. It allows me to listen for a fairly long time without having to get up to flip a record. And with the new purchase of the wireless remote for the ReVox B77 it's really convenient. Amazing how great these tapes sound after more than 40 years.

Harry Nilsson, A little touch of Schmilsson in the night. Nice album of old classics.

Just relaxing, listening to a little 'Mambo Sinuendo' by Manuel Galban and Ry Cooder with our new puppy, Nellie.   She is a 12 week old Australian Shepherd and has way too much energy for 61 year old dad. But its keeping me in shape.    We will be heading out shortly for the first of several long daily walks.

We expect her to be around 50 to 60 pounds full grown, so not TOO big.   She has energy to burn.  Taking her on two one-hour walks per day as well as an hour or so in the yard has cost me about five pounds over the last three weeks..........

Using Macgeek's logic I need a whole kennel full of dogs.
