There is no defense for glitter. I believe it has a half life of a billion years.

Funny that glitter was brought up.   I refinished the dining room table with one of those quickie products that is supposed to just work over top of the current finish.   It became soft and has started turning black at the corners.   Gina made some decorations with glitter for the baby's first birthday party and the glitter has embedded itself in the finish.   I had planned to refinish it anyway (this time with a proper strip down first and real lacquer) but still.   Glitter shows up everywhere.   It's kind of amazing.

glitter, Christmas tree needles (both real and artificial) and dog hair.... seem to hang around forever!  lol
a bunch of nice sounding stuff. Nice that I'm finally able to actually listen to file music for the first time...

Another one from the Crate & Barrel order.  This copy of The White Album sounds great.   ;D

Do you see any markings to indicate country of origin?

Probably from British stampers.   The UK pressings of the reissues crush the US pressings.

In tonight's episode of "Adventures in surround sound"...

The Eagles - Hotel California
Rush - Moving Pictures

Hotel C is a more discrete mix (which I like).   I particularly liked the presentation on "Victim of Love".   Moving Pictures was mixed to sound big.   Most of the lead vocals are in all speakers.   Usually I don't care for this approach but it seemed to work for this material.   The "effect" synth and percussion was discrete, but the main rhythm tracks were big.   The front to back and side to side panning of the drums on "YYZ" was especially fun.

Eventually the new car smell will wear off, but for a while you guys will get sick of hearing me talk about listening in 5.1.

in the pile I'm sorting through, found a VG   very early pressing of Paul McCartney "McCartney ". Have not heard it in a long time. Very, very impressed with the recording/ pressing. Hearing lots of nuances that I had no memory of... pretty cool!

It's probably hard to think of Sir Paul as under rated, but I've always felt that album was.

I thought I was done and going to bed, but I couldn't resist one more.   America - Homecoming.   It's really neat to hear those tight three part harmonies coming out of three different speakers.   It gives a whole new appreciation for what great part singers they were.
