America sold a lot of records back in the day but I never found the subject matter that they covered in their songs particularly compelling.    But you can't knock success!

A lovely early evening cleaning records and listening to various things at Carl's (thanks Carl), followed by a lovely late evening of "American Beauty" and "Workingman's Dead" in surround.

Tonight's surround binge... Bloomfield, Kooper, Stills - Super Session & BB King - Reflections.

They need to put more blues music in surround.   How about a 5.1 mix of Robert Cray - Strong Persuader?   Is that too much to ask?   Maybe some Albert King.

I've had the super session since it was first released. Awesome album

I really enjoyed the DVD-A of Tommy tonight.   Now to find the Blu-Ray of Quadrophenia.

Herb Albert & The Tijuana Brass - South of the Border.  Commercial recordings can sound decent at 7 1/4 IPS!!

Actually I suspect they would sound slightly flat at that speed.

:(|)  I was off by 1/2" inch per second.  I stand corrected.

No, you were off by a quarter inch.   Sloppy work.
