I saw Marcus open for Tedeschi Trucks a couple months back.   Good show, though regrettably short.

as the rain continues to fall

Rain? What rain?

RL Burnside is great. Not sure what's on the compilation you have, but his album First Recordings is pretty good. I believe they pulled him off a tractor and recorded him on the front porch. Love that raw, live stuff.

most of the stuff  on the 7 cd Mitchell collection is as raw as you can get. They are mostly field recordings from the 60s. So they were recording in homes and juke joints, not studios.

Currently listening to a nice soundboard of the Dead doing Dark Star from 11/2/69.

I have also been enjoying the '73-'74 PNW box over the weekend.  Got it delivered Saturday.  It's a 19 disc beast.  Maybe by the time I listen to it all, this rain will stop.

Enjoying a scorching "Franklins Tower" from 9/30/80 Springfield, MA.  Nice audience recording.

May the four winds blow you safely home. (Though it sounded like Jerry sang "blow you home.")

Waiting for the neighbor to bring her dog over for some playtime with my Australian shepherd, Nellie.  Cued up a little jazz for the morning coffee.  Jimmy Raney's "A", recorded in 1955 at Rudy's.

Rolling Stones - Voodoo Lounge, Muddy and Wolf, Jr Walker - Roadrunner, Galactic - Into the Deep, Santana - Greatest Hits

Trying to shove as much different stuff into my son's ears as I can. Hopefully something sticks in there!

you guys are too funny.... daughter didn't pick up anything music related, but my son did. Loves music almost as much as I do.... his tastes run a bit different though.
a bunch of nice sounding stuff. Nice that I'm finally able to actually listen to file music for the first time...

330 530 dropped of mother in law, did some yard work, loaded speakers and drove home
530 630.  Unloaded speakers , had a coffee
630 830. Drove to moms house in west mifflin and cut grass , mostly at dusk, using mower with small bag that needed emptied every couple minutes because the grass was very high ,  then stopped in munhall to drop off some photos at my brothers house.

You're retired.   You shouldn't let her grass get so high.    >:D

I love Thursday yard sales.   Can I join you?

The Creative Teddy Wilson.   Norgran MG N-1019

Great trio piano jazz with Milt Hinton and Jo Jones, in glorious mono.

Perfect morning music as the sun comes up and the coffee goes down....
